About the Role


TRISTONE is seeking for a Resident Engineer DAIMLER . The Resident Engineer is responsible for creating high-quality 3D and 2D models for engine and battery cooling components, supporting the full product lifecycle from early concept development to production release. This role collaborates closely with customers and internal technical teams to ensure that all designs are feasible, compliant with Tristone guidelines, and aligned with customer standards and requirements. It guarantees the CAD data is properly loaded in the PLM (ARAS) following all standard processes and rules.



Responsibilities


  • Design CAD models and drawings for engine and battery cooling components (Coolant hoses, pipes, degassing bottles, connectors, manifolds, brackets and similar) using NX with Daimler toolkit
  • Work with clients, being their contact person, and the technical teams to integrate and develop feasible designs, from concept to release production level
  • Coordinate customers’ projects as an extended Core team member
  • Prepare CAD models for downstream activities (e.g. CAD for CAE/FEA/CFD, mockup/prototypes, validation, manufacturing, and customer)
  • Support cross-functional teams and customers during the RFQ phase (CAD concept development, CAD analysis/measurements, Quote PPT, BIP Matrix, Was-Become presentations, etc.)
  • Support Design Review meetings and prepare quality check-sheets
  • Design components based on Tristone guidelines and customer's standards & requirements
  • Offer solutions to problems, develop innovative concepts and provide cost reduction ideas
  • Release 3D and 2D into Tristone PLM, Daimler PLM environments
  • Utilizes Tristone PLM system to manage CAD models, assemblies and drawings changes
  • Owner of the e-BOM.
  • Ensures that part design verification is performed, participates in this verification, and reports recommendations to be considered
  • Ensures traceability of CAD input and output data via the group's PLM


Qualifications


  • Fluent English
  • Good level of German
  • Technical education
  • Minimum of 5 years of job experience in CAD design. Daimler toolkit & PLM usage is a plus
  • Injected plastic design experience is mandatory (understanding of injection molding process)
  • Design experience with NX Mechanical Routing is a plus
  • Highly organized, good written and oral communication skills required
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, IATF 16949)
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Program Management, Product Manager, etc.
  • Experience working in global environments, with cross-plant or multi-site coordination is highly valued
  • Team spirit, willingness for performance and flexibility
  • Highly motivated, confident
