Jefferson Wells is hiring | HSE Manager – Europe
A multinational industrial group operating in the healthcare and homecare services sector is seeking an experienced HSE Manager – Europe to strengthen Health, Safety & Environmental governance across its European Healthcare and Homecare Services operations.
The Role
The HSE Manager – Europe will play a key role in defining, harmonising and driving Health, Safety & Environmental policies across European operations, within a highly people-intensive, multi-site and field-based environment.
The position is strategic in ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating operational risks and fostering a strong safety culture, supporting both mobile healthcare professionals and corporate/local teams across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations across multiple European countries
- Define and implement the Group HSE Management System, tailored to people-based and service-related risks (staff mobility, home-based ergonomics, healthcare waste management, lone working)
- Plan and conduct internal and external HSE audits across European operations
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Support Country Managers with HSE training programs and safety culture initiatives
- Develop structured HSE reporting, dashboards and KPIs for Top Management
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in HSE roles, with at least 5 years in international or regional coordination
- Proven background in Homecare, Healthcare, medical or people-based services
- Technical degree (Engineering, Environmental Sciences or similar) and professional HSE certifications
- Fluent English (C1 – corporate working language)
- Knowledge of any additional European language is a strong plus
- Willingness to travel across Europe (approx. 30–40%)
