As we continue to grow our business, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join our Brookvale team!

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to further develop your career with a growing organisation in the Early Childhood Industry. As an experienced Room Leader, you exude passion for the early years and view each child as an individual. You will be responsible for providing support to children and fellow Educators to ensure exceeding quality practices and compliance with the National Quality Standards (NQS). You'll have ongoing access to professional development and opportunities for career growth as the organisation continues to expand.

Responsibilities

Leading the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational programs for children aged 6 weeks - 6 years old, ensuring alignment with the NQF, EYLF, and Reggio Emilia approach.

Guiding the team in delivering programs that foster continuous learning and support each child's individual developmental needs.

Overseeing the documentation of each child's learning journey , including Wellbeing Plans, Curriculum Intentions Plans, and Room Routines.

Ensuring a safe and stimulating environment , where children feel secure and engaged in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Providing active supervision and take necessary precautions to ensure children's safety and wellbeing at all times.

Encouraging meaningful participation from all children , ensuring experiences are engaging, relevant, and build trusting relationships.

Collaborating effectively with colleagues, families, and the community , contributing to a positive, team‑oriented work culture.

Mentoring and supporting staff , fostering professional growth and contributing to the continuous improvement of the service.

Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education.

Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis – equivalent to HLTAID012.

Current Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Current Child protection, Safe Sleep and Food Safety Training desirable.

Previous Room Leader experience, preferably in Pre‑school room.

Skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Extensive knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.

Understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy desirable, but not essential.

Previous experience with the Assessment and Rating process.

Committed to sharing the same vision and philosophy.

Positive and optimistic outlook, friendly disposition and a great team player.

Passionate about the Early Childhood Sector and an advocate for children.

Ability to build strong relationships with fellow Educators, the children and the families.
