Within our Forensic Investigations & Intelligence team, you will be involved in high-impact projects combining accounting, auditing, and investigative expertise.

Your role:

We are seeking a motivated Senior Consultant to join our growing team of Forensic Investigations & Intelligence. In this role, you will support clients across different industries and jurisdictions by delivering high-quality intelligence and investigative services. The candidate will be responsible for executing project activities, with increasing levels of autonomy, including but not limited to the following areas:

• Reputational due diligence, background checks and AML screenings.
• Corporate and competitive intelligence.
• Complex internal and external investigations.
• Asset tracing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing in-depth open-source research (OSINT) and analysing data from multiple sources to identify reputational, financial, regulatory, and political risks affecting clients.
• Conducting complex investigations related to fraud, work misconduct, corruption, money laundering, unfair commercial practices, illicit trade and counterfeiting, supply chain security.
• Conducting digital forensics investigations, including collection, analysis and preservation of digital data and evidence.
• Conducting online investigations, including social media analysis, domain analysis and research.
• Identifying and interviewing human sources to develop intelligence and supplement research.
• Supporting forensic accounting, regulatory and compliance investigations.
• Critically evaluate information on sources, opposed interests and roles in a wide range of industries.
• Drafting high-quality reports, briefings, and client-ready deliverables and presenting findings to Clients during in-person and remote meetings.
• Contributing to improving and developing new tools and tech solutions to keep our investigative methodology current, innovative and cost-effective.
• Collaborating with internal teams and contributing to project strategy and business development.

Must have (job requirements):

• EU passport / work permit in the EU.
• Master’s degree in any discipline.
• Excellent command of Italian & English, with some life experience outside of your country of birth.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in corporate intelligence and investigations.
• Strong research, writing and analytical skills, including ability to summarize information quickly and effectively from multiple sources into concise assessments.
• Proven experience with OSINT tools, online investigations and social media analysis.
• Exposure to or training in digital forensics, with familiarity with relevant tools and methodologies.
• Ability to take ideas from concept to completion, meet deadlines, communicate, and follow up swiftly and thoroughly.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to connect the dots organizationally, network effortlessly, influence various roles and profiles to drive collaboration and program excellence.
• Ability to take direction, feedback, and guidance from management and provide frequent project updates to ensure alignment with team goals.
• Strong oral/written communication and data presentation skills, including communicating effectively with business and technical teams.
• Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with others and work as a team.
• High attention to detail and strong ethical judgment when handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to haves:

• Command of a third language.
• Advanced command of Excel (vlookups, pivots, macros, etc.).
• Working proficiency in Python.
• Exposure to AI-driven and data analytics tools.
• Advanced knowledge of digital forensic tools is considered a strong advantage.
• Exposure to cyber-crime investigations, cryptocurrency investigations, including blockchain analysis tools and transaction tracing.
