Safety Manager

to lead and continuously enhance our Safety Management System (SMS) across flight operations, continuing airworthiness (CAMO), and maintenance (Part‑145). This is a key leadership role with the responsibility to shape and drive a strong safety culture in a complex, mission‑driven aviation environment. You will act as the organisation’s independent authority on safety, ensuring compliance with EASA regulations and ENAC requirements, while enabling operational teams to deliver safe, efficient services. Responsibilities

Lead Safety Management

Own and continuously improve the SMS across AOC, CAMO, and Part‑145 Maintain and develop the safety risk management framework Ensure alignment across operational and technical domains Manage Risk & Safety Performance

Lead hazard identification and risk assessment processes Maintain the risk register and monitor mitigation effectiveness Define and track Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) Drive Occurrence Reporting & Investigations

Oversee the occurrence reporting system in compliance with EU Regulation 376/2014 Promote and uphold a strong Just Culture Ensure effective investigation of incidents and dissemination of lessons learned Influence at Leadership Level

Act as secretary and coordinator of the Safety Review Board (SRB) Provide independent safety advice to senior management Report regularly to the Accountable Manager Ensure Safety Assurance

Monitor safety trends across flight operations, maintenance, and airworthiness Identify emerging risks and recommend proactive measures Interface closely with Compliance Monitoring for integrated oversight Maintain and improve the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) Lead training and emergency exercises Build a Strong Safety Culture

Deliver SMS and safety training programmes Lead safety promotion initiatives Engage teams across all levels to embed safety as a core value External Engagement

Act as the main point of contact on safety matters with ENAC and relevant authorities What we are looking for

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in aviation, including: Safety management, operations, CAMO, or Part‑145 SMS implementation or management Risk assessment and safety analysis Occurrence reporting systems and investigations Experience in flight operations (HEMS/FF/SAR/offshore) is highly valued Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of: EASA regulations (Air Ops, CAMO, Part‑145) ICAO Annex 19 / SMS principles Human Factors and Just Culture Ability to

Analyse complex safety data and identify trends Influence stakeholders at all organisational levels Communicate clearly and effectively Qualifications

In line with EASA and ENAC expectations, you will have: Significant operational aviation experience acceptable to the authority And Knowledge of

Company manuals (OM, CAME, MOE) (preferred) Aircraft types (minimum familiarity level, AW139/AW169/BK117) Location
