Job Title: Sales Director – Italy (Individual Contributor)

Role Overview:


We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Sales Director to lead business development activities in Italy for our innovative packaging solutions, with a strong focus on the food industry . This is an individual contributor role , ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional with a strong commercial network, technical understanding of packaging, and a passion for opening new doors and building long-term client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across Italy, targeting food producers, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects, converting leads into long-term customers.
  • Understand client needs and propose tailored packaging solutions that add value and ensure compliance with food industry standards.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and potential partnerships.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, operations, and technical) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to support growth objectives.
  • Act as the local market expert, providing insights into customer behavior, regulatory environment, and market dynamics.


Requirements:


  • Proven track record (7+ years) in B2B sales or business development , preferably in packaging or industrial sales within the food industry .
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, solutions, and compliance standards in the food sector.
  • Existing network of contacts in the Italian food industry is a strong plus.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Italian and proficient in English.
  • Willingness to travel across Italy (and occasionally Europe) for client meetings and industry events.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
