Sales Director - Retail Market
ready to take ownership of the open market strategy for consumer electronics in a fast-paced, international environment . This role plays a strategic and operational part in driving both sell-in and sell-out performance across major retail accounts in Italy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about consumer tech, thrive in a cross-cultural context , and be eager to shape the future of a growing ecosystem of smart devices.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Own the full sales cycle with key open market customers: from strategic sell-in planning to hands-on sell-out execution.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability (P&L), and market share in alignment with business goals.
- Lead commercial negotiations and develop tailored growth strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Retail, Go-to-Market).
- Design and execute high-impact promotional plans and in-store activations to boost visibility and conversion.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with leading retail partners across Italy.
- Analyze performance, market trends, and consumer insights to generate strategic recommendations and reporting to senior management.
- Be the voice of the market internally, sharing feedback and identifying new opportunities for innovation and optimization.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or commercial management, preferably within consumer electronics or tech-related industries.
- Proven track record with major Italian retailers and in managing complex client portfolios.
- Deep understanding of both sell-in and sell-out dynamics.
- Experience with wearables, smartphones, or smart devices is a strong plus.
- Strong business acumen and analytical mindset; ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to lead initiatives without direct authority.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to work under pressure in fast-evolving environments .
- Fluent in English (C1) and Italian; other languages are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or related field (or equivalent experience).
