Overview

Mindful movement is the core of our purpose at ALO. The Sales & Service Manager is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for driving business and guest experience strategy in the store. This role focuses on meeting business targets, enhancing guest experience, and developing talent in line with ALO’s guiding principles.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and root‑cause sales opportunities, partnering with the General Manager to address process or system gaps.
  • Oversee the Sales & Service team to deliver an exceptional guest experience on the floor by assessing customer connection, technical product knowledge, and providing feedback and coaching.
  • Build and maintain client relationships daily with customers.
  • Ensure effective sales floor coverage through workforce solutions and lead selling initiatives across the store.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement the Sales & Service strategy.
  • Represent the business in meetings and conference calls in partnership with the General Manager.
  • Monitor and manage budget, reporting, and other business data; use metrics such as expenses and sell‑thru to inform quarterly reviews and sales planning.
  • Plan workflows to protect optimal performance and align team behavior with ALO’s mission.
  • Lead a team through accountability, continuous coaching, talent development, and effective communication.
  • Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy.
  • Write schedules that prioritize business strategy in partnership with the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership experience within retail or a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Agility to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.
  • High motivation to drive business in a fast‑paced, innovative setting.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and business owner mindset.
  • Independent work ethic, strong time‑management, and personal accountability.
  • Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, carry up to 50 pounds and perform other required movements.
  • Proof of right to live and work in the country from the start of employment.

Benefits & Working Hours

The role is full‑time. Employees are expected to be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts, including the holiday season from Black Friday to the first week of January.
