SAP Extended Warehouse Management (eWM) Functional Analyst

Experteer Overview

In this role you will lead SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions, bridging technology with real-world warehouse operations. You’ll collaborate with warehouse managers to translate daily challenges into functional requirements and drive delivery, testing, and hypercare during ERP projects. You contribute to ABB’s Electrification Smart Power Digital Organization, optimizing warehouse processes and system integrations. You work with cross‑functional teams to implement best practices and stay ahead on SAP eWM enhancements.

• Support Solution Architects during Fit & Gap workshops and translate business requirements into IS demand
• Work with warehouse staff to understand daily challenges and translate them into functional specifications
• Estimate functional effort and timelines for changes and project implementations
• Promote SAP eWM architecture aligned with the Global Template and best practices
• Write FDS aligned with SAP eWM Architecture and ABB Global Template
• Coordinate Business Blueprint preparation; contribute to blueprint writing
• Support ABAP/Fiori developers and technical architects with Technical Specifications
• Configure SAP eWM system and coordinate external analysts
• Prepare SIT scenarios and test scripts; execute SIT for critical flows and coordinate bug fixes
• Prepare training materials and conduct sessions for warehouse staff
• Contribute to UAT preparation and system setup; plan cut‑over tasks
• Lead functional analysts during hypercare for rapid issue resolution
• Provide ongoing improvement support; align tech solutions with operational strategies
• Stay current with SAP eWM versions, trends, and enhancements
• Support SAP eWM application operations and incident management

Responsabilità

• Bachelor-degree related field or equivalent experience
• SAP Certified Extended Warehouse Management (eWM) Consultant mandatory
• 10+ years information systems experience; 5–7 years SAP eWM implementation (ECC and S/4 HANA)
• 4+ full lifecycle SAP eWM projects implementations
• Experience on warehouse floor with managers/operators
• Distribution center and warehouse operations experience
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis, scoping, design, testing, data migration, cutover, hypercare
• SAP eWM architecture knowledge and data model understanding
• Experience with Inbound/Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, HU Management, TUs, Production integration
• Knowledge of CDS views and ODATA for S/4 HANA; Fiori Apps and extensibility
• BADIs, Function Modules, APIs; SAP eWM best practices; roles/authorizations in SAP S/4 and Fiori
• SAP integration tools: IDOC, qRFC, web services, ALE
• EWM integration with ERP/non-ERP, TMS, Trade compliance
• Performance optimization and troubleshooting; ABAP debugging
• Documentation proficiency; project management methodologies; English proficiency; Italian/Spanish a plus
