Satellite Communications Technician

Job Requirements

• Essential:

o University degree in electrical/telecommunication/electronics engineering or equivalent;

o 10 years of professional experience in the field of satellite communications, radio spectrum and frequency coordination;

o Demonstrable hands-on experience in radio propagation modelling and link budget analysis for satellite systems (GSO and NGSO);

o Demonstrable hands-on experience in RF interference assessment, coexistence studies and performance analysis, for satellite systems;

o In-depth understanding of the ITU regulatory framework for satellite systems, including frequency coordination procedures, Article 22 provisions and NGSO-toGSO and NGSO-to-NGSO coexistence analyses;

o Demonstrable hands-on experience with professional satellite system simulation tools, such as Visualyse (preferable) or equivalent software;

o Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;

o Ability to occasionally travel to customer premises as required by preparation of frequency coordination meetings and regulatory discussions;
