We are seeking a director for VILLA NO. 9, a psychological thriller centered on emotional tension, control, and shifting perception between two central characters. The film takes place in a contained Sicilian villa environment, where psychological pressure builds through dialogue, silence, and evolving power dynamics rather than external action. Villa No. 9 is a Berlin International Screenwriting Festival 2026 Finalist. We are looking for a filmmaker with a strong visual language and a sensitivity to psychological storytelling – someone who understands how to translate internal emotional states into cinematic atmosphere, subtext, and controlled visual tension. The ideal director is drawn to character‑driven narratives, restrained intensity, and atmospheric world‑building where performance and framing carry the emotional weight of the story. Director attachment will be considered in collaboration with the producing partner.
