About the Company

MILANER was founded by a group of Italian women who grew up as friends in Central Italy, in one of the country’s main luxury manufacturing districts. They started MILANER to bring authenticity and sustainability back to luxury and to close the gap between artisans, brands, and customers. The name comes from our story. “Milaner” is the Italian root of the English word milliner, and a tribute to our first artisan partnership with Veronica Marucci, a milliner from Le Marche. We work exclusively with Italian luxury artisans whose craft has been refined over a lifetime, and whose tradition risks being lost. Production happens in small batches, with a no-waste approach, and we treat every artisan partner as a creative collaborator. We are an emerging slow-luxury brand with an already sizeable and growing following. We sell online to a global audience, and we’re looking for someone to help us tell our quiet luxury and craftsmanship story to a new generation of discerning customers. With the Milaner brand experiencing robust acceleration, a strong growth trajectory and expansion possibilities, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced marketing specialist to join our small but agile team and help us grow the company.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Brand & Marketing Sr Manager to lead all our marketing and brand work. You’ll be in charge of our brand voice, content, organic social, email, campaigns, and creative production, and bring our heritage and artisan-first world to life online for customers globally. The job is part strategy, part execution. You’ll write the brief in the morning and ship the asset in the afternoon. Every piece of content is a chance to show the people behind our products and tell their story honestly. You’ll work closely with the CEO, the performance marketing team, and our partners (PR agencies, creative collaborators, photographers, and the artisans themselves) to keep every touchpoint consistent and clearly MILANER.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Communication & Content Strategy
  • Define and develop MILANER’s communication strategy, tone of voice, and content pillars.
  • Build stories around our products, lifestyle appeal, our archive-inspired collections as well as new drops, and above all the artisans who make our work possible.
  • Keep visual and editorial consistency across every channel.

  • Organic Social Strategy & Management
  • Build and run the organic social strategy, with Instagram and Facebook as our main channel for growth and engagement.
  • Develop content that goes beyond product shots: workshop visits, process moments, archive deep-dives, founder stories, customer rituals.
  • Grow a community that’s interested in how things are made.
  • Develop content that can translate into complete online and offline touchpoint ecosystems as the company grows.

  • Email Marketing (DEM) Strategy & Management
  • Plan and run email campaigns and automated flows that read more like a journal than a promotional blast.
  • Use email to keep customers engaged, support new batches and seasonal launches, and share the stories behind each piece.
  • Test segmentation, copy, and design regularly to improve results, while keeping the brand voice intact.

  • Campaign Communication & Launch Coordination
  • Coordinate communication for new batches, archive drops, and seasonal campaigns across every channel: site, social, email, paid, PR.
  • Build briefs, timelines, and rollout plans that connect product, story, and artisan partner from teaser to final asset.

  • Influencer & Collaboration Strategy
  • Find, brief, and manage relationships with creators, editors, stylists, and cultural voices whose taste fits MILANER, people who actually care about craft, heritage, and refined aesthetics.
  • Track ROI and content quality, and refine the partnership strategy over time, with authenticity coming before reach.

  • Shooting & Creative Production Management
  • Plan and produce photo and video shoots, from briefing and casting to on-set coordination and asset delivery.
  • Capture the process as well as the product: artisan workshops in Italy and France, behind-the-scenes moments, and the people behind every piece.
  • Make sure every visual fits MILANER’s standard and the channel it’s made for.

  • Visual & Marketing Collateral Production
  • Create and oversee all graphic assets: newsletters, social creatives, landing pages, brand documents, and presentations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized brand asset library and a visual system that feels timeless.

  • External Agencies Management (PR & Creative)
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with our PR and creative agencies.
  • Brief them clearly, and make sure everything they deliver fits MILANER’s voice, look, and business goals.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 6+ years in brand, communication, or marketing roles, ideally in fashion, luxury, lifestyle, or craft-driven consumer brands
  • Track record growing brand presence and engagement on Instagram for a brand where aesthetics and storytelling matter (case studies welcome)
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Brevo, or similar) and a structured approach to campaigns and flows
  • Ability to think in terms of creative campaigning and to translate storytelling into visual formats in a cohesive manner across all engagement channels
  • Strong editorial and visual taste: you can recognize what’s on-brand quickly and protect it across every output
  • Ability to brief and direct shoots, designers, and agencies clearly
  • Experience managing influencer collaborations and external PR/creative partners
  • Sharp copywriting in English, with a feel for tone and rhythm. Italian is a real plus given our roots and our artisan network
  • Comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on execution
  • Organized, autonomous, and reliable in a fully remote setup
  • Real interest in craftsmanship
