Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Line Haul seeks a senior business analyst to own analytics and develop solutions that drive insights and optimization for Network Planning and Forecasting. As a member of this team, you will work with program managers, product managers, research scientists, software developers, and business leaders to design the Amazon network of the future. You will operate at the crossroads of multiple complex Amazon systems, taking ownership of critical efficiency metrics such as trailer repositioning cost and network balance, producing weekly metrics, performing deep‑dives, contributing to business reviews with VPs, and building forecasting models for annual and quarterly planning cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex analysis and data research to identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs through efficiency improvements, eliminate defects, improve customer experience, and support critical business decisions.
- Design, develop, and establish KPIs and run complex network simulations to provide strategic insights that drive growth and performance.
- Systematically identify data source/forecast error and follow through on the resolutions to ensure that future plans are updated with improved business processes.
- Perform and own recurring and ad‑hoc business intelligence projects.
- Develop standardized metrics to evaluate and benchmark short and long‑term network planning and forecasting.
- Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems) and dive deep utilizing known research and problem‑solving techniques.
- Communicate complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau or Power BI.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
- Experience with Excel.
- Experience with SQL.
- Ability to make business recommendations and influence stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field.
- Experience with various statistical techniques (regression analysis, coefficient correlation).

The base salary range for this position is USD 118,200 – 160,000 annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
