Job Profile

We are looking for a person to fill the role of Senior Business Developer

Summary

The ideal sales figure for Magellan Circle is a senior professional, capable of integrating sales, strategic consulting and digital marketing skills, with a proactive and result-oriented approach, able to bring new customers and develop valuable relationships in the medium to long term.

Objective:

To develop Magellan Circle's business, with a focus on acquiring new clients for consulting, communications, marketing and advocacy services.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of new clients for Magellan Circle's consulting, communications, marketing and advocacy services.
  • Use digital tools (including AI) and social media to identify, contact, and engage potential customers (social selling).
  • Develop and present customized business proposals, in line with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure the quality and consistency of the solutions offered.
  • Monitor the results of commercial and marketing activities, proposing corrective actions to achieve the objectives.

Key competencies and characteristics

  • B2B Commercial Experience: solid experience in the sale of services to companies and organizations, preferably in the consulting, marketing, communication and advocacy sectors with particular reference to the context of ports, shipping and logistics, the energy transition with the primary target the European market (excellent knowledge of the English language and international experience is required).
  • Result orientation: strong ability to generate new leads and turn them into customers, with a focus on concrete and measurable results.
  • Social selling and digital networking: ability to use platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and AI tools for finding new contacts, building relationships of trust and promoting the value of the company(4). Ability to leverage the strength of "weak ties" to expand your network of prospects even beyond direct contact.
  • Strategic consulting: ability to analyze the market, identify opportunities, assess risks and profile the ideal target customer. Experience in defining the value proposition, positioning and key communication messages for the services offered. Ability to model differentiated value propositions for public, institutional and corporate clients, with knowledge of procurement dynamics and public-private partnerships.
  • Management of the sales process: autonomy in the management of the entire sales cycle: from lead generation, to the presentation of the offer, to the negotiation and closing of the contract.
  • Marketing and communication skills: knowledge of digital and traditional marketing strategies, ability to propose integrated and customized solutions for customers, familiarity with stakeholder engagement methodologies and activities
  • Ability to work by objectives: definition and monitoring of clear and measurable objectives, both in terms of turnover and new customers acquired.
  • Flexibility and proactivity: aptitude for identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and adapting quickly to changes in the sector.
