Role Overview

As a Senior Cloud Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a large-scale cloud infrastructure using AWS services. You’ll collaborate with development teams to ensure our infrastructure aligns with business requirements, automate processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and develop robust CI/CD pipelines. You will play a key role in monitoring system performance, optimizing resources, and maintaining security and resilience across multiple environments. Your focus will also include managing disaster recovery strategies and handling cloud network management to ensure reliability and scalability.

Your Mission

• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, designing, developing, and managing a large-scale microservices infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, ECS, and Lambda, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Configure and oversee Linux VMs and Containers, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability standards.
• Manage complex multi-account and multi-domain AWS environments, ensuring streamlined operations and security across all accounts.
• Work closely with development and product teams to align the cloud infrastructure with business and technical requirements.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate provisioning and management of cloud resources, following best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline for continuous integration and deployment.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure with tools like AWS CloudWatch and the ELK stack, ensuring high performance and availability.
• Design and implement a multi-region disaster recovery strategy with defined RTO and RPO objectives to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to support infrastructure provisioning and integration tasks, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues and implement strategies to improve security, compliance, and resilience.
• Oversee data flow management using AWS services like Kinesis, SNS, SQS, DMS, and Redshift for efficient data operations.
• Design and manage AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, Route 53, and VPNs, ensuring secure and optimized connectivity.

Your Ideal Profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on AWS services and tools.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation, with practical experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, automation, and system monitoring.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash for task automation and API interactions.
• Strong networking knowledge, especially in AWS environments, including VPC, subnets, security groups, and routing.
• Advanced Linux system administration skills, including configuring and maintaining VMs and containers.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, or Prometheus.
• Knowledge of data flows, event-driven architecture, and data pipeline management on AWS.
• Willingness to handle on-call duties and manage incidents outside regular hours.
