Within Generali Asset Management SGR S.p.A., the Compliance Function primarily ensures the regular and timely fulfillment of responsibilities assigned to a compliance function of an Italian-based asset management company, providing services and activities on a cross/board basis, pursuant to the EU and Italian regulatory framework, and in accordance with the relevant Bank of Italy and CONSOB provisions.
The candidate joining the Generali Asset Management SGR S.p.A. Compliance Function will act as an internal reference point for the Compliance Structure, mainly dealing with compliance risks related to investments and operations activities. In this capacity, the role involves:
- Reporting to the Head of Compliance (who reports to the GIH Chief Compliance Officer)
- Implementing the GenAM Annual Compliance Plan, performing compliance activities such as risk identification, impact analysis, risk mitigation, monitoring, and control, in coordination with the Compliance Function and international Compliance Referents
- Supporting the drafting of half-year and annual Compliance Reports
- Liaising with the GIH Chief Compliance Officer on compliance matters as needed
- Supporting special projects and initiatives
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent, preferably in law, business administration, or finance/economics
- A second-level Master's degree in compliance or internal control systems is a plus
- Fluent English is required; additional languages (French/German) are advantageous
- 7-10 years of experience in similar or related functions, preferably in control functions such as internal audit, risk management, or compliance
- Deep knowledge of European and Italian regulatory frameworks, focusing on UCITS, AIFMD, MIFID, EMIR, DORA
- Basic understanding of internal control systems and processes in asset management
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to deliver results under pressure and within deadlines
- Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad
- Team-oriented, cooperative, and solution-focused mindset
- Excellent communication and writing skills in Italian and English
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and engage with senior stakeholders
