Senior Consultant – Solar & BESS (Italy)

I am supporting a leading international consultancy in the renewable energy sector with the hire of a Senior Renewable Energy Consultant focused on solar PV and energy storage projects in Italy .

The Role

You’ll work across technical and commercial advisory on solar, BESS, and hybrid projects, supporting developers, investors, and lenders across Italy and wider European markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical and commercial due diligence on solar, storage, and hybrid projects
• Assess project risks (grid, permitting, design, financial model impacts) and propose mitigation strategies
• Support and lead project delivery across multiple engagements
• Build and maintain client relationships, contributing to business development
• Collaborate with international teams on cross-border projects

Requirements

• ~5+ years’ experience in renewable energy, preferably consultancy
• Strong understanding of solar PV and/or BESS projects
• Experience with technical due diligence and project risk assessment
• Good knowledge of the Italian energy market (grid, permitting, land, etc.)
• Fluent Italian and English
• Strong commercial awareness and client-facing experience
• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or similar
