Senior Electrical Project Manager – Wind and Solar – Renewable Energy – Italy

About the Company
We are currently working with one of Ireland’s fastest growing consultancies who manage several programs related to wind and solar power, transmission and distribution and grid connection. They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Project Manager with experience in solar or wind programs to work on some of Ireland’s most essential energy projects. This client is looking for people who are self-starters, passionate about project management and have strong technical knowledge in that area or power and distribution. You will be able to manage a number of projects simultaneously and have the ability to succeed when it comes to overall project delivery.
This role is suited to people from a consulting background.
About the Position
Within this role you will be involved in
- Advise clients on all aspects of grid connections for renewable and sustainable energy projects
- Advise clients on all aspects of electrical engineering for renewable and sustainable projects considering the highest safety standards, industry best practice, and technological developments.
- Prepare employer’s requirements and technical documentation for client’s contract packages for renewable projects.
- Advise clients on tender submissions for electrical works contracts.
- Prepare high level preliminary electrical designs for renewable generation and grid services projects.
- Site inspections of projects under construction.
- Monitor quality of electrical works construction on client projects.
- Work closely with contracts on delivery expectations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of various Italian Grid Codes and how they apply to renewable and sustainable projects
- Regular contact with industry contractors, designers, and material suppliers to ensure that the clients is always getting the best value in the market.
Experience/Requirements
For this role you are required to have
- 10 years’ experience in project management
- Substation and grid connection experience
- Knowledge of the technical specification design function
- Health & Safety Management
- Project Management experience
- Bid and Tender experience.
- Client and subcontractor management
- A reputation for project delivery
- Worked in the Renewable Energy sector
- Based in Italy and familiar with Italian legal requirements
Remuneration Package
