Job Overview
Prime Video Tech Finance is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to own the numbers behind some of the world's most-watched live sports and help shape how we deliver them. This role will act as the CFO for all technology costs for Prime Video’s Live Events and Linear sports portfolio, partnering directly with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to optimize the technology infrastructure that powers NFL Thursday Night Football, NBA, UEFA Champions League, and other marquee global events.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning cycles for Live Events and Linear technology spend, including AWS infrastructure, signal acquisition, encoding, and 3rd party vendor costs.
- Produce VP‑ready reporting packages that are accurate, concise, and built to drive decisions, not just inform them.
- Partner with Live Events business partners to scope new infrastructure investments, negotiate vendor contracts, develop event‑level capacity plans, and model the financial impact of technology decisions before they are made.
- Translate complex cost dynamics into clear narratives senior leaders can act on.
- Build scalable financial mechanisms using AI tools, Python, SQL, and Amazon QuickSight to replace legacy manual processes, reduce manual effort, and improve data fidelity. Document what you build so the team can scale it.
About the Team
Prime Video Tech Finance manages the financial health of a multi-hundred-million-dollar technology portfolio, including the AWS infrastructure, third‑party vendor relationships, and streaming delivery operations across the globe. We value ownership, intellectual curiosity, and the drive to build things better than we found them. High performers grow into strategic finance partners who shape multi‑year technology roadmaps.

- 3+ years of finance or related analytical experience.
- 3+ years building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
- 3+ years building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving, or experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- CMA or CPA, or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
