Senior Global Supply Manager - PCB, AWS Infrastructure Services

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that provide uninterrupted access to our customers' innovation. The role joins a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, collaborating across AWS to deliver safety, security, and infinite capacity at the lowest cost.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, high attention to detail, proven ability to work in fast‑paced environments.
  • Create and execute supply planning strategies for Printed Circuit Boards to meet ASC team, category, key programs, and customer needs.
  • Prioritize activities and align with stakeholders across AWS Supply Chain teams and Hardware Engineering to deliver supply globally with high predictability.
  • Manage supplier relationships and allocation of materials to demands based on priority.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for customers, technologies, and markets.
  • Gather data and synthesize reports to drive business rhythm (QBR, monthly, weekly operations syncs, ad‑hoc requests).
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with cross‑functional teams to improve tools and processes to meet capacity needs.
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and leverage industry developments.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to consolidate the supply base using system‑level tools and techniques.
  • Understand forecasting, demand planning, material/supply/inventory planning, and manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments.
  • Manage supply buffers and allocations to shorten lead times and build resiliency without excess.
  • Drive supplier improvement initiatives to lower risk and reduce lead times.
  • Influence suppliers’ manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies beneficial for both parties.
  • Produce written recommendations and insights to inform key stakeholders of supply‑chain health and shape solution design.
  • Collaborate with Server PCBA ODM and critical compute silicon component suppliers, AWS Supply Chain teams, and Hardware Engineering to plan supply for global datacenter network and launch new hardware platforms.
  • Develop and launch second‑sourcing strategies and implement buffer plans in partnership with Hardware Engineering, Product Line Managers, and PCBA GSM.
  • Build supply strategy aligning with future technology roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of high‑volume manufacturing operations or sourcing experience.
  • Experience in data analysis using Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.
  • Experience in negotiations with global suppliers and proven cost‑reduction track record.
  • Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain, and Tier 1 OEM partners.
  • Experience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent).
