For our own projects, we are looking for: Senior Inspection Method Engineer.
MISSION:
Responsible for developing and optimizing inspection strategies in compliance with Client’ standards, applicable legislation, and best practices. The role supports Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) activities, manages inspection data through IDMS ((Inspection Data Management System, ANTEA), and ensures coordination across disciplines to guarantee asset integrity while minimizing production disruptions.
TASKS:
- Optimize the inspection philosophy in accordance with Client’ standards and local legislation.
- Update Inspection Plans in the Inspection Data Management System (IDMS – ANTEA) to reflect plant modifications, new inspection scopes, and RBI outcomes.
- Support data collection and execution follow-up for Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) studies related to Oil Centre and Flowlines.
- Ensure timely adjustment of inspection programs/plans based on RBI results.
- Compile inspection data to generate the monthly inspection report.
- Assist the Corrosion Engineer in assessing key corrosion threats and update inspection strategies accordingly.
- Develop and maintain Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) as per company and international standards.
- Participate in “5-week look ahead” meetings and coordinate multidisciplinary support for upcoming inspections.
- Update inspection activities in Integrated Operational Planning (IOP – 5 month look ahead).
- Act as a liaison between authorities and the company regarding inspection matters.
- Monitor and audit on-site contractor performance and quality.
- Provide day-to-day support to the General Inspection Service Contract team.
- Ensure high quality of inspection-related feedback and KPI reporting.
- Validate inspection reports and ensure anomalies are addressed through SAP notifications (CMMS).
- Ensure that all inspection activities comply with HSE standards, Client’ policies, and Italian regulations, with a focus on minimizing production downtime.
- Attend daily and weekly inspection coordination meetings.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in inspection engineering, with strong proficiency in inspection methods and practices.
- At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written)
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATION:
- ISO 9712 NDT (preferable)
- API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector (preferable)
- API 570 Piping Inspector (preferable)
- API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector (preferable)

- UNI EN 16991:2018
- DM 239/04, D. Lgs 81/08
- API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector)
- API 570 (Piping Inspector)
- API 653 (Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector SKILLS
- Good attitude for team working
- Managing database and reporting tools
