Job Overview
Agoda is seeking an outstanding lawyer to provide legal and contractual support to its expanding travel business. The legal role supports a wide range of legal and regulatory matters related to flights, experiences, ground transportation, and packages, and provides advice on travel product launches and technology agreements.
Responsibilities
- Handle a broad spectrum of legal and regulatory issues for the travel business, including flights, experiences/attractions, ground transportation, and packages.
- Negotiate and draft agreements related to travel‑related content, software services, technology licensing, product development, and support litigation or consumer protection matters.
- Participate in negotiations and ensure timely completion of contracts; assist business stakeholders with ongoing contract management when required.
- Advise and support the global launch of travel products and features.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver effective legal support; formulate and coordinate positions across departments and report escalation of issues.
- Take on ad‑hoc projects and deepen industry knowledge as needed.
Qualifications
- Legal qualification to practise as a lawyer with 4+ years of post‑qualification experience in a leading private practice and/or an international in‑house legal department (preferably both).
- Law Degree or Juris Doctor.
- Trained and admitted as a lawyer in a common‑law jurisdiction.
- Strong commercial outlook and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strategic approach to the law, comfortable in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
