Senior Operating System Engineer - Kernel / Linux / OS / Automotive
Overview
Join a dynamic team of engineers in the field of Automotive Operating Systems. This role focuses on designing and optimizing Linux kernel and OS components, creating software solutions for next‑generation cockpits and autonomous driving systems, and tuning embedded AI applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize Linux kernel and OS components.
- Implement software solutions for cockpit and autonomous driving systems.
- Perform low‑level tuning for CPU, GPU, and other embedded devices.
- Optimize embedded AI applications in the automotive domain.
Qualifications
- Minimum master’s degree.
- 4–5+ years of industry experience.
- Experience with Linux development, Linux kernel, and/or Linux drivers.
- Experience with C or C++ and developing new features.
- Experience with low‑level optimization for embedded systems.
Compensation
Base salary €70,000–€95,000 plus bonus, depending on experience.
Location
This is a full‑time, permanent on‑site position based in Pisa, Italy. You can also work from the Milan office with a monthly visit to Pisa.
