Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. This individual will own the process/product roadmap and ensure delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery station. This unique opportunity lies at a critical juncture in Amazon’s growth to drive end‑to‑end product delivery from inception to execution. We are looking for a hands‑on leader with experience managing new product and process development for high‑dollar‑value programs.

To be successful you will need to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will collaborate with Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech, as well as Operations and Safety to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the rollout of product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
  • Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products.
  • Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
  • Lead execution of the product with a high level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
  • Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap. Own a part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
  • 30% travel based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • 6+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing equipment development experience.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional projects and initiatives.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing.
  • Experience using MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint.
  • Experience designing complex systems for automation in logistics or manufacturing, or experience with product development in automotive, aerospace, automation equipment or related field.
  • Experience in leading large‑scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
