Senior Product Manager - HVACR Software Applications
The Impact You'll Make
At Danfoss Climate Solutions, software is transforming how HVACR systems work—making them smarter, more connected, and more efficient. We are developing an expanding portfolio of software control applications and reusable libraries on the Alsmart programmable controller platform for heat pumps, chillers, refrigeration packs, rooftops, data centers, and more. We need you to bring it all together. As Senior Product Manager – HVACR Software Applications, you will take global ownership of this ecosystem, creating clarity, driving alignment, and turning the developments into a strategic, scalable portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own and manage the global portfolio of Alsmart-based HVACR software applications and reusable libraries, spanning heat pumps, chillers, refrigeration, rooftops, data centers, and hydronic systems—defining roadmaps based on customer value, market impact, and strategic fit.
Lead prioritization and portfolio strategy by establishing clear criteria around market demand, reusability, development effort, and strategic relevance, deciding what gets developed, reused, postponed, or stopped.
Coordinate application development across product lines, regions, central technology teams, and external partners, promoting standardization, library reuse, and IP protection to enable scale & efficiency.
Align go-to-market approaches in collaboration with marketing, legal, and platform teams.
Drive structured release and lifecycle management, ensuring quality standards, platform compatibility, documentation, versioning, and phase-out strategies across the application ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
Degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field paired with +5 years of experience in product management, portfolio management, or system solutions within HVACR systems, industrial automation, or embedded control platforms.
Proven ability to lead through influence in a global, matrix organization, navigating across product lines, regions, and functions to drive alignment and results.
Strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and market needs into strategic portfolio decisions.
Broad system-level understanding of HVACR applications— you do not need to be a coding expert, but you should be able to discuss control strategies and understand customer requirements based on a good understanding of the application landscape.
Experience with programmable controllers (PLCs), software platforms, ecosystems, reusable libraries, software licensing, IP management, or industrial software release processes is a strong advantage.
What You'll Get from Us
Permanent contract with a hybrid working arrangement.
Competitive compensation: annual gross salary €63,000 – €72,000, variable bonus tied to company performance, and annual salary review.
Access to mentoring, training, and global opportunities.
Flexibility, autonomy, and support to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
A commitment to an inclusive work environment respecting all backgrounds.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected category.
