Role Overview

The company is seeking an experienced Analog / RFIC Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-performance integrated circuits for advanced optical and communication systems.

You will be part of a fast-paced, international research environment working on state-of-the-art RF, mmWave, and optical IC technologies , contributing to innovation from concept through to validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance Analog / RFICs for optical transceiver applications
  • Perform circuit simulation, verification, optimisation, and performance analysis
  • Collaborate with system engineers to define specifications and target performance
  • Support and guide layout activities, ensuring high-quality physical implementation
  • Contribute to feasibility studies and evaluate different design approaches
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to innovation within the team

Requirements

  • ~10+ years’ experience in Analog / RFIC design
  • Strong hands-on experience designing complex, high-performance ICs
  • Proficiency with Cadence design tools and full design flow (schematic → layout → test)
  • Experience with CMOS / SiGe BiCMOS technologies
  • Proven track record delivering IC designs into volume production
  • Strong understanding of RF/analog design principles and performance optimisation
  • Ability to work in international, cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • PhD or MSc in a relevant engineering field
  • Experience in optical or optoelectronic ICs (e.g. TIAs, drivers)
  • Exposure to microwave / millimetre-wave design (E-band, W-band, D-band)
  • Knowledge of advanced EM, signal integrity, or power integrity
  • Experience with antenna systems, phased arrays, or front-end modules
  • Familiarity with lab validation and high-frequency measurement techniques
