The hotel features breakfast service, bar, and quick lunch, delivering a vibrant and lifestyle-driven guest experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to: Receptionist Manager and Front Office Manager

Location: Rome, Italy

The Senior Receptionist is an experienced Front Office professional responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while ensuring smooth daily reception operations.

This role requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can work independently, act as a key point of reference during shifts, and support the Receptionist Manager in overseeing operational flow and service standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a natural guest-oriented approach in a boutique hotel environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver an outstanding guest experience from pre-arrival through departure, ensuring personalized and attentive service.
  • Independently manage Front Office operations (check-in, check-out, reservations support, guest assistance).
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Support the Receptionist Manager in coordinating daily operations and ensuring service consistency.
  • Ensure effective communication between Front Office and other departments (Housekeeping, F&B).
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in preparing daily operational reports.

CONNECTION

  • Welcome and assist VIP and returning guests, ensuring a memorable and personalized stay.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for guests throughout their stay.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, anticipating their needs.

CURATION

  • Promote hotel services (bar, breakfast, quick lunch) to enhance guest experience.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere.

INNOVATION

  • Proactively suggest improvements to procedures and guest experience.
  • Support upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Contribute to maximizing room revenue and operational efficiency.

LEADING THE WAY

  • Provide guidance and informal leadership to junior team members during shifts.
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented work environment.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Senior Receptionist or equivalent Front Office role.
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and procedures.
  • Fluency in English; Italian is required (additional languages are a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with confidence.
  • Familiarity with PMS systems and hotel operational tools.
  • Experience in boutique or lifestyle hotels is a plus.
