At Stryker, we are driven to make healthcare better. As a Senior Regional Sales Manager in our Trauma division, you will play a critical role in shaping the performance, culture, and long-term success of a strategically important region in Northern Italy.

This is a high-impact leadership role, designed for someone who thrives in complexity, leads with purpose, and knows how to build and elevate high-performing teams.

What You Will Do

  • Take full ownership of your region, leading both people and business performance, while strengthening partnerships with healthcare professionals and delivering sustainable growth.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering an inclusive and motivating environment.
  • Own regional performance: sales, forecasting, pipeline development, and budget accountability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and healthcare decision‑makers (including KOLs).
  • Drive business growth through both existing accounts and new customer acquisition.
  • Manage a complex ecosystem, including direct reports and indirect channels (agents and distributors).
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure excellent customer experience across the full order‑to‑cash cycle.
  • Analyse performance data and implement targeted actions to improve results.
  • Lead and embrace change, contributing to innovation, simplification, and scalability.
  • Act as a role model within the broader leadership team, sharing best practices and supporting peers.

Your Region

  • Region: Northern Italy (Lombardia, Piemonte, Liguria, Valle d’Aosta, Triveneto)
  • Location: Preferred base in Milan
  • Travel: ~70%

What Makes This Role Different

  • Stabilise, align, and elevate the team.
  • Build on existing commercial strength with strong leadership and structure.
  • Create a true team culture, not just individual performance.

What You Need

  • 10+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Strong people management experience (ideally 3+ years).
  • Proven track record of leading teams to deliver and exceed targets.
  • Experience in complex, structured environments (multinational preferred).
  • Exposure to indirect channel management is a strong plus.
  • Background in medical devices / orthopaedics is preferred, but we are open to strong leaders from other industries.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • You lead with empathy and clarity, not ego.
  • You are decisive, resilient, and accountable.
  • You know how to motivate experienced teams, not just manage them.
  • You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • You bring a strategic mindset, but stay close to execution.
  • You build trust quickly, with your team and with customers.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills (Italian & English).
  • Experience with CRM systems and data‑driven decision making.
  • High integrity and commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
