SENIOR REGULATORY ENGINEER
Our Senior Regulatory Engineer is responsible for the management of regulatory matters in support of the business, ensuring compliance of products and processes with applicable regulations throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The role has a strong focus on the continuous monitoring of legislative and regulatory developments, the assessment of their impact on the product portfolio, development projects, and business continuity, and the translation of regulatory requirements into timely, actionable recommendations for management and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Systematically monitor the evolution of European, international, and local regulations applicable to the business (e.g. home care products, detergents, cosmetics, insecticides, air fresheners)
- Analyze new regulations, amendments, guidelines, and legislative proposals, assessing their technical, operational, commercial, and timing impacts on the company
- Contribute to regulatory risk assessments for existing products and new development projects
- Manage activities related to obtaining and maintaining product registrations and authorizations with competent authorities
- Ensure the preparation, review, and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for raw materials and finished products
- Prepare, review, and validate technical and scientific documentation supporting regulatory submissions
- Review and approve labels to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Maintain regulatory documentation systems and databases
- Prepare responses to customers and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of digitalization initiatives for regulatory processes, aiming to improve efficiency, data integrity, and compliance tracking.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite
- University degree in sciences (e.g., Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, …) or equivalent through experience.
- 3/6 Years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, preferably in structured industrial environments.
- Solid knowledge of European, US, and international regulations applicable to detergents, cosmetics, insecticides, and home care products
- Experience in managing or supporting regulatory process digitalization projects, including the use of digital tools and systems to optimize workflows and data management.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams
- Work with specialized computer software, databases, and regulatory information resources
- Strong problem-solving, solution-oriented mindset, and effective communication skills
- Good organizational, negotiation, and continuous learning capabilities.
