SENIOR RISK ENGINEERING UNDERWRITER

Experteer Overview

In this role you will shape the risk engineering strategy for Constructions and Corporate Client risks in the Italian market, aligning with the Group and Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will work closely with the Risk Engineering Team and cross-functional partners to manage portfolio performance and underwriting discipline. You will support product development and the acquisition/retention of business, including agent and broker negotiations. This position offers international collaboration and impactful risk management in a leading insurer.

• Ensure underwriters comply with authority, pricing and rating guidelines
• Steer and control the local portfolio to achieve financial targets
• Review end-to-end underwriting lifecycle performance with functional areas
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and other lines to implement marketing strategies including cross-selling
• Maintain underwriting consistency and adherence to corporate guidelines and local regulations
• Support development/implementation of new or modified products
• Contribute to new business acquisition and retention (agent/broker negotiations)
• Communicate local business strategy externally

Responsabilità

• Master's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction or Mechanical Engineering
• 8 to 15 years of experience in underwriting profitable Risk Engineering for corporate and construction risks
• Proven leadership skills
• Experience with risk assessment and policy administration lifecycle
• Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis skills
• Experience in designing/implementing robust wordings and underwriting projects (preferred)
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in an international organization
• Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written)
• Data Analytics
• Very good knowledge of Office 365 and other collaborative tools
