Experteer Overview
In this Milan-based role you will shape the strategy for Constructions and Corporate Client risks in the Italian market, aligned with Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will work closely with the Risk Engineering Team and report to the local leadership to deliver profitable underwriting outcomes. You will coordinate with sales, claims and product teams to support cross‑selling and portfolio optimization. This role offers the chance to influence product development and governance in a large, international organisation. You will engage with agents and brokers to align on strategy and execution. Ensure underwriters follow underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines Steer the local portfolio with the Head of Engineering to meet financial targets Collaborate with functions to review end-to-end underwriting performance Work with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to enable cross‑selling Maintain underwriting consistency and discipline per corporate guidelines and regulatory framework Support development and implementation of new or modified products Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing business, including agent/broker negotiations Communicate local business strategy externally Responsabilità
Master's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction or Mechanical Engineering 8–15 years' experience in underwriting profitable Risk Engineering for corporate/construction risks and Engineering Professional Firms Proven leadership skills Expertise in risk assessment and policy administration life cycle Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis Ideally experience designing, developing, and implementing robust wordings Ideally experience driving underwriting projects Entrepreneurial mindset Strong communication skills Ability to work in an international organisation Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken) Data analytics Very good knowledge of Office 365 and other collaborative tools
