Position Summary
The Southern Europe Sales Director will be responsible for developing and managing utility-scale and C&I solar project customers across Italy and broader Southern Europe.
The role focuses on driving solar module sales growth through EPCs, project developers, IPPs, and other key stakeholders, while managing full-cycle commercial execution, contract negotiations, and long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive solar module sales growth across Italy and Southern Europe, focusing on utility-scale and C&I solar projects
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
- Build and maintain relationships with EPCs, developers, IPPs, investors, and strategic customers
- Identify new business opportunities and expand long-term partnerships to grow regional market share
- Own full sales cycle: customer acquisition, qualification, technical/commercial proposals, pricing, negotiation, and contract execution
- Work closely with internal teams (technical, product, supply chain, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth project delivery
- Provide tailored technical and commercial solutions aligned with project needs
- Monitor market trends, regulations, pipelines, competitors, and customer demand to identify opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings across the region
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in solar PV or renewable energy project sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of PV industry, market dynamics, and utility-scale project business
- Experience working with EPCs, developers, IPPs, or utility-scale stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% internationally
- English required; additional Southern European language (Italian/Spanish/Portuguese) preferred
