About The Role
Senior Sales Manager for Four Seasons Milano, San Domenico Palace, Taormina and Danieli, Venice. Report to the Director of Sales and Director of Travel Industry Sales. Promote and sell transient segments in the Europe, Russia and CIS markets, generate hotel/resort awareness through direct phone sales, direct sales calls, fam trips and tradeshows.
Responsibilities
Liaise and strengthen relationships with main accounts to drive business and increase market share. Utilise various prospecting resources to solicit and secure new business on behalf of the hotel. Use company‑wide programmes, sales developments, prospecting projects, worldwide sales office customer events and reporting for business development. Follow up on all business inquiries and qualify business to generate transient room nights and associated revenue to impact RevPAR performance. Create and execute account plans for assigned market territory to ensure maximum revenue and budgeted targets are achieved. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls in the assigned territories, frequent visits to the properties, prospecting calls, site inspections and fam trips. Maintain thorough and complete product knowledge of FS hotel properties and in-depth understanding of competition set’s features, advantages and benefits. Perform customer site inspections. Conduct sales calls to the assigned territories to uncover needs and present solutions that maximise booking opportunity and create strong customer relationships. Track and focus on conversion to ensure hotel revenue objectives are impacted and achieved. Establish and maintain strong Golden hygiene including account creation, account traces, contact information, client email lists, bookings, etc. in accordance with Four Seasons standards. Understand and maximise the utilisation of all automated sales and reservations systems (Opera) involved with travel industry business. Participate in sales meetings and strategy meetings as required. Respond and maintain effective correspondence with all potential and existing clients. Produce and execute quarterly and annual action plans. Participate and contribute to the annual Marketing Plan including proposing and managing territory sales expenses and travel budgets.
What You Bring
Legal work authorisation in Europe. At least three to five years experience in a Sales Manager role overseeing the Europe, Russia and CIS markets. Proven sales track record within the assigned markets (three to five years). Cluster experience. Excellent negotiation skills and strong decision‑making abilities. Creative and innovative approach to sales activities. Working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Opera.
