Senior Sales Specialist - GenAI, Specialists Team Europe Central

AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud.

The GenAI Sales Specialist for Europe Central works from Athens, Greece, with potential consideration of other CEE locations. The role covers segments and regions across Europe Central.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive adoption, utilization, and revenue for AWS services in the assigned sales region.
• Identify opportunities to innovate with customers, influence the AWS product roadmap, and generate revenue.
• Own the sales cycle of large opportunities and close them.
• Align and influence GTM strategies and sales plays with the WWSO EMEA Geo team, and engage customers and partners through AWS field enablement activities.
• Identify gaps in AWS products or features based on customer insights and partner with internal product teams and account managers to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue.

A day in the life

• Meet with leading companies using GenAI & AI/ML to drive business outcomes.
• Serve as trusted advisor for leaders, decision makers, and key stakeholders, bridging business goals and technology.
• Represent your region to AWS product teams and influence the GenAI & AI/ML roadmap.
• Collaborate with AWS solution architects, data scientists, and account teams to deliver results and close large, complex opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

• Solid consultative sales/business development experience in software‑technology environments with pipeline creation and revenue delivery responsibilities; direct field experience working with customers.
• Strong experience in tech sales, driving sales cycles and opportunity closure; quota‑based role.
• Deep experience selling GenAI/ML technology solutions with a strong understanding of the underlying tech stack.
• Track record of building rapport with senior executive‑level stakeholders at customers and internally.
• Solid influencing skills to drive the business agenda in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and experience working with cloud‑based technologies.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• AI/ML certificates or diploma.
• Knowledge of data platform concepts from both business and technical angles.
• Experience working with technology partners (software vendors, system integrators) in the data & GenAI & AI/ML space.
