Overview
SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Senior Server Systems Architect to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR). Position contingent upon contract award .
Essential Job Duties
- Design and develop solutions for complex system administration issues and network concerns.
- Perform systems management and integration functions.
- Contribute to server infrastructure architecture, including installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, defense, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Manage database administration and maintenance of DBMS software (e.g., SQL), including installation, configuration, capacity planning, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, restores, refreshes, performance optimization, auditing, maintenance, availability, and Disaster Recovery.
- Ensure integration of applications, interfaces, extensions, forms, and reports with database architectures and manage related documentation on servers/databases.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with at least 10 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with at least 12 years’ experience.
- Active Secret security clearance with SSBI.
- DOD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) 651 Certifications: SecurityX / CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or CSSLP or FITSP-D or GDSA or GSEC or equivalent.
- Experience in planning, directing, or coordinating program and project management activities.
- Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into IT project requirements.
- Experience developing and maintaining program management documentation, such as PMP and WBS.
- Strong communication skills for liaising between technical teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with the development and implementation of the TO management portal.
- Ability to analyze project progress, financial data, and risks, providing insights and recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
- Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
Work Environment
- Standard office conditions with potential duties in deployed locations.
- Core hours Monday to Friday, 0600 – 1700.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Travel may be required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner needs.
