Role Title: Site Manager | Utility-Scale Solar (Medium Voltage)

Location: Roles in Abruzzo, Lazio & Sicily

Piper Maddox are supporting an Italian IPP based in Rome who are searching for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of multiple utility-scale solar projects. With a strong pipeline of 250MW planned for 2026 and backing from one of the world’s largest infrastructure investment funds, this organisation is continuing to scale its in-house EPC capabilities.

Following the successful delivery of 100MW over the past 12 months, they are now looking for a hands‑on Site Manager with strong medium voltage (MV) experience to coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations across multiple utility-scale solar PV projects, with a focus on medium voltage (MV) works
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors across electrical and civil scopes, ensuring efficient execution
  • Supervise MV installation including cabling, substations, inverters, and grid connection activities
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality expectations
  • Maintain strict adherence to HSE regulations and site compliance standards
  • Act as the main on-site point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Monitor site progress, resolve technical and logistical issues, and provide regular reporting to project management
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure smooth handover of completed projects

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in site management within utility-scale solar PV projects
  • Strong experience with medium voltage (MV) infrastructure and grid connection works
  • Proven background in EPC construction environments with strong on-site delivery experience
  • Ability to manage multiple sites or complex project scopes simultaneously
  • Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant technical background preferred
  • Fluent in Italian and English
