Senior Supply Chain Manager - Remote (UK/EU)
A pioneering leader in Earth Observation and satellite data is looking for a relationship-driven Senior Supply Chain Manager to join the company. This organisation designs, manufactures, and operates its own fleet of high-resolution satellites, providing critical imagery and video that helps solve global challenges in agriculture, climate monitoring, and infrastructure.
The company is vertically integrated and operates at a high velocity. The Global Supply Chain team is essential in ensuring the production plant meets its targets and that satellite designs perform to their full capability once in orbit.
The Role
This is a senior-level position based remotely in Europe or the UK. The focus is on leading the regional supplier ecosystem, building high-stakes relationships, and partnering closely with Engineering and Global Supply Chain teams. You will be expected to travel frequently to visit suppliers in the region, maintaining a strong "follow-up" mindset to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Sourcing: Develop procurement strategies to optimise cost and quality, manage purchase orders, and lead contract negotiations.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain deep relationships with key suppliers and 3PL partners. You will develop vendor scorecards to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Manage supply chain budgets and reduce operating costs without compromising service. You will also maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor lead times and supply chain risks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Support demand forecasting and work alongside internal teams to ensure all designs deliver to their maximum potential.
About You
- Experience: You bring 7–12 years' experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential. You must be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with vendor management best practices and knowledge of Incoterms, customs, and import/export compliance.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a significant bonus.
- Certification: Ideally, you hold a professional certification such as APICS, CSCP, or CPM.
