Senior User Experience Designer , Amazon Global Logistics (AGL)

Job ID: | Amazon.com Services LLC

The Amazon Global Logistics team is a highly innovative group of program and product managers collaborating to deliver worldwide shipping solutions for our internal and external customers. We are building Amazon Global Logistics into a global offering that handles cross‑border movements of cargo, transforming global trade by providing strategic, transparent, and predictable shipping services and technologies. In short, we make international movement of goods extremely easy for customers, all in a customer‑obsessed manner.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a User Experience Designer III at Amazon Global Logistics, you will design intuitive digital interfaces that enhance user satisfaction across cross‑platform applications. Working alongside product managers, developers, and leadership, you will create functional, aesthetically pleasing designs for customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics to identify pain points; build user personas, journey maps, and facilitate UX workshops that drive cross‑functional alignment and deeper user understanding.
  • Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that balance user needs with business objectives; use design systems to ensure consistency and scalability while developing strategic concepts that align with organizational goals and create coherent design strategies.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to present design solutions, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and ensure accurate implementation; contribute to design planning and operations, helping prioritize initiatives based on customer value and identifying collaboration opportunities across partner businesses.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing to evaluate design effectiveness, refining interfaces to meet high accessibility and usability standards; stay current with industry trends and best practices, advocating for user‑centric design principles and identifying enhancement opportunities across digital touchpoints.

A Day in the Life

On a typical day you’ll review user research insights and analytics to understand customer interactions with shipping tools, sketch wireframes, and refine prototypes that simplify logistics workflows. You’ll collaborate with product managers on priorities and go‑to‑market strategies, facilitate design critiques, and join cross‑functional meetings with engineering teams to discuss implementation. Afternoons often involve conducting usability tests with customers to identify friction points and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations that inform product strategy, while balancing hands‑on design work with strategic thinking about how millions experience global logistics.

About the Team

You’ll join the Global Logistics and Global Transportation Technology Systems (GL/GTTS) UX team, designing end‑to‑end experiences for Amazon’s global logistics ecosystem. Our team tackles complex logistics challenges across seller‑facing shipping tools, internal operations platforms, and transportation systems, partnering closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to advocate for user‑centered design and influence product decisions that impact millions of customers and sellers worldwide.
