Valmont Solar, leader in the global photovoltaic industry, is looking for a Site Engineer .

In the context of project management team and reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer coordinates the requisitioning of the portion of work assigned project areas in accordance with Company's QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments (design data, codes, classes etc.), construction needs, schedule and budget.


Essential Functions:

  • Defines engineering coordination procedures.
  • Cooperates to ensure timely approval of engineering and requisitioning documents from the client, as well as timely technical and economical definition of change orders and/or claims.
  • Contributes to schedule preparation, actively controls schedule execution and proposes corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensures coordination of interfaces among engineering disciplines and with procurement, construction and partners.
  • Ensures implementation of technical specification and scope of work of construction activities, including Commissioning and POT.
  • Represents the company towards clients, partners, subcontractors, and third parties for technical subjects and may contribute by reporting information or suggestion to Project Manager.
  • Contribute optimizing technical solutions proposed by engineering and arbitrate as necessary contributing to respect of material, schedule and budget.
  • Attends daily meeting with the clients, partners, subcontractors and stakeholders aired by the client.
  • Ensures request of Work Order, Purchase Request and Service Entry.
  • Cooperates to document control and internal archive follow up.


Qualifications required of each candidate (Education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities):

  • Engineering Master’s Degree.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude
  • Communication and team working.
  • Ability to manage complexity.
  • Stress resistance and resilience.
  • Innate Leadership.
  • Ability to read and execute technical drawings.
  • Availability to travel for mission or for long period.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Computer knowledge: main IT tools (Office), CAD and PLC / SCADA systems programming tools.
