About the role
This role is responsible for leading all environmental, health, and safety and engineering operations within the site. It ensures the site meets global and local EHS requirements; executes engineering projects; maintains utilities and facilities for safety, compliance, and productivity; manages OT/IT infrastructure and cybersecurity compliance; and maintains facilities and utilities systems to support production. The incumbent understands manufacturing, packing, and warehouse technology, industry standards for Project Management and Capital Systems management, and EHS local and corporate standards. They translate business strategies into Engineering and EHS objectives, deliver safety‑compliant equipment solutions, and innovate to meet capacity growth, new production introductions, and chronic outage resolution. Key responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Lead the EHS and Engineering team of 20‑50 people to deliver site objectives: vision setting, objective setting, execution coaching, progress evaluation, staffing, team engagement, and career coaching.
Site Safety Management
Ensure governance, systems, and processes meet global and local EHS standards; staff the team with necessary expertise; coach site EHS leader on safety culture programs.
Engineering and Capital Project Management Leadership
Lead capital systems and project teams to deliver projects on cost, schedule, safety/quality, OEE, and other business criteria; ensure financial management meets compliance; support investment definitions for savings, growth, and compliance.
Automation/OT/IT Management
Execute maintenance and cybersecurity of OT infrastructure; install automation technology to meet productivity and growth goals at lowest OPEX.
Utilities/Facilities/Maintenance Management
Lead teams responsible for utilities and facilities maintenance. Lead PM Pillar Sponsorship.
Collaborate with SLT, Regional, and Global resources to deliver QSC Excellence
Continuous improvement: regularly seek manufacturing improvements to meet site business needs.
Stakeholder Communication
Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to Site Leader; prepare and present reports; facilitate sub‑team meetings; ensure transparency and alignment.
Risk Management
Identify and manage risks associated with EHS and Engineering; conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Essential qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or chemical. 10 years of engineering, R&D, or safety leadership. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies and knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (e.g., NFPA 70, OSHA). Strong leadership skills. Preferred qualifications
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to engage in multicultural environments. Global mindset, entrepreneurial mindset, business insight, resilient and assertive. People management skills. Training in change management. Experience in other functions (e.g., operations). Excellent English communication skills. Salary
