This role does not require relocation but involves rotational travel for at least 6 months with a typical two-week return home period.

General Position Details

  • The "home office" for this position is in Orlando, FL, but the work location may vary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop safety trend analyses and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to conduct weekly safety talks relevant to ongoing activities.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, representatives, and inspectors.
  • Maintain all safety documentation, including reports, audits, meetings, investigations, and training records.
  • Ensure personnel are trained and equipped with necessary safety gear.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to promote safe and productive behaviors.
  • Use Activity Hazard Analysis to identify hazards and develop safe work plans.
  • Work with foremen and superintendents to develop daily safety checklists and promote hazard communication.
  • Implement and enforce Site Safety and Health Plans.
  • Research and procure quality safety supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor safety performance through inspections and analyses, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and health regulations and plans.
  • Deliver safety, health, and environmental training sessions.
  • Investigate near misses and accidents, proposing corrective measures.
  • Coordinate with employees and medical personnel to minimize injury impacts.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or EU Citizen.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card (valid within 5 years).
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • At least 24 hours of recent safety and occupational health training (excluding OSHA 30).
  • Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience on similar projects within the last 10 years.
  • Certification from BCSP as a CHST, OHST, ASP, SMS, or CSP preferred.
