We are looking for a SMART MANUFACTURING ARCHITECT to join our Global Central Function Transformation (reporting to the VP Architecture, Governance & Business Intelligence).
The Smart manufacturing Architect’s responsibilities will include strategy design and execution in the domain of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Industrial IoT solutions to ensure:
- Monitoring and synchronization of manufacturing activities across globally distributed plants and link them in real-time.
- Eliminate human error in manufacturing by providing real-time quality data checks, yield monitoring, automatic enforcement of specifications and business rules, and as-manufactured lot, batch, device or unit traceability.
- Track product and order details on the plant floor, collect transactions for reporting to financial and planning systems, and electronically dispatch orders and manufacturing instructions to shop floor personnel.
- Real-time feedback needed to quickly identify and resolve issues for continuous product and process improvement and optimization of manufacturing processes.
- Support the Business Transformation journeys by taking all relevant architecture decisions related to all manufacturing data, information and processes across Brembo globally distributed manufacturing plants.
- Establish reference architecture, design and technology principles in the MES domain.
- Lead solution implementation to all topics related to MES: provide the digital foundation and enterprise architecture for “smart manufacturing”.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through software implementations.
- Lead comprehensive Product/Tool Evaluation and selection services. Stay abreast of new technologies and identify opportunities.
- Identify and prioritize critical or improvement areas in collaboration with the business, manage PoC with suppliers and ensure the creation of solution architectures to meet these objectives.
- Participate in the planning for retirement of systems programs, and migration of systems infrastructure.
Main Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology or similar academic studies.
- +/- 7 years of professional experience in IT, including 3 years as architect.
- Experience with the implementation, migration or integration of MES and IoT systems in complex business environments is a must. Exposure to implementation of emerging technologies such as AI and ML is a strong plus.
- Experience with business modelling tools that allow mapping of business processes into IT.
- Experience in conceptualization, architecture design, TOGAF, ArchiMate etc.
- Fluent in English and available to travel.
