Job Description
DXC Technology Italy is looking for a Software Developer Consultant to join the Custom Application Offering. Responsibilities
Autonomously design, develop and execute business and technical software solutions to implement new or enhanced applications (upgrades or conversions) Analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems using appropriate solutions and tools Act as a direct point of contact with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction Contribute to the definition and maintenance of development standards and best practices within the team Provide guidance and support to junior developers on delivery activities Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies Qualifications
Bachelor or Master Degree (technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc. is a plus) Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile Application Development, DevOps, Cloud-based applications and Microservices architecture and patterns Strong technical experience writing code using languages: Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot, etc.), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, design patterns and architecture design, and SQL/NoSQL databases Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, such as cloud AI services, LLM platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI), basic ML frameworks and integration of AI APIs into enterprise applications Knowledge of software development processes (Agile, Waterfall) and DevOps Ability to work with web-development tools for new applications with use of AI-assisted engineering tools Solid understanding of modern software design and development methodologies The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a problem‑solving mindset, a focus on results, sound decision‑making skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Location
Location: Bari (BA), with Smart Working possibility. Benefits
