Software Engineer

We are seeking a qualified Fortran Developer / Scientific Software Engineer to support the development, validation, and maintenance of engineering calculation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and test Fortran-based calculation models in accordance with physical laws and engineering specifications
• Translate technical inputs from NPI and RQS design engineers into structured computational logic
• Perform validation and verification of calculation results to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Maintain and optimize existing legacy codebases , improving performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and technical improvements
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results to ensure traceability and reproducibility
• Support integration and interoperability with tools developed in C++ and VBA

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
• Proven experience in Fortran programming
• Good knowledge of C++ and/or VBA
• Solid understanding of:
• Numerical methods
• Scientific computing
• Physics-based modeling
• Experience in code testing, validation, and debugging of engineering calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial sectors such as:
• Aerospace
• Automotive
• Energy
• Industrial engineering
• Familiarity with simulation environments (e.g., FEM, CFD)
• Experience working with legacy systems and code refactoring
• Knowledge of software validation and verification processes
