Key Job Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best‑practice cloud architectures in line with their long‑term business needs.


• Drive technical solution discussions with customers, diving deep into details to solve complex technical problems and use knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.


• Scope and own customer engagements with clear objectives and success criteria.


• Work backwards from customers’ business needs to accelerate adoption of the most appropriate AWS technology.


• Define and execute strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners).


• Act as a thought leader in the community – educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.


• Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform.


• Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, influencing decision makers across multiple domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.

A Day in the Life

Our solutions architects are experienced technologists with technical breadth and depth coupled with strong interpersonal skills. They work across industries within the SMB segment, including FSI, Retail, IT & ITeS, Media, and Entertainment. On a daily basis, they work alongside people leading cloud architecture, challenge customers to think differently, and build elegant, transformative solutions.

As a Solutions Architect, they own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and provide recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. They collaborate with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree


• Knowledge of cloud architecture


• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures


• 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries


• 7+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience


• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities


• Experience with Data & AI technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage


• 3+ years of experience working in or with Global Captive Centers (GCC)
