Solutions Architect – AWS
Amazon Web Services seeks a Solutions Architect based in Amsterdam to build technical relationships with customers across the BeNeLux region. The role focuses on guiding customers through agile operation models, modern SaaS architectures, and generative AI transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall technical relationship with customers, recommending best practices for security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Educate customers on AWS value proposition and participate in architectural discussions to ensure successful deployment in the cloud.
- Act as the trusted advisor, shaping guidance to serve the customer’s best interests.
- Speak as the voice of the customer within AWS, feeding their needs into product roadmap.
- Create and share best‑practice technical content, reference architectures, whitepapers, code samples, blog posts, workshops, user groups, and public speaking engagements.
- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization through hiring, coaching, and mentoring.
- Develop depth in technical domains aligned with customer outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in a major technology area such as Compute, Storage, Database, Developer Tools, Machine Learning, Security or IoT.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or equivalent experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Experience or certifications in API design, cloud architecture/deployment, service‑oriented architecture, mobile development, performance optimisation, and database design.
- Strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products and new technology platforms.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies.
- Proficient oral and written communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise‑scale infrastructure or development‑based cloud programs/projects.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of compliance and security standards across enterprise IT.
- Experience creating and delivering written and oral communications to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with cloud native technologies.
- Customer‑facing experience.
