Sourcing and Procurement Manager
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven, and negotiation-savvy Sourcing and Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of tinplate materials for our operations. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the capability to build and maintain supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Experience with ERP systems and e-bidding / RFQ tools is strongly preferred.
- Organize and manage bidding activities via procurement platforms, including the preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluation of offers, and collection of cost information in the market.
- Source and qualify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing & terms, overseeing claims, and steering R&D projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement aligns with business needs and specifications.
- Oversee the preparation and execution of purchase orders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, analyze procurement performance, and report key metrics to senior management.
- Develop Market Intelligence and provide insights on supplier capabilities, competition, and trends.
- Able to work autonomously, a self-starter who is proactive and results-oriented.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize effectively.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to drive decision-making. Capable of speaking with data and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly conveying ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to successfully operate cross-functionally.
- Strong cross-cultural awareness, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and suppliers from different regions.
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to change and new challenges.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, etc.).
- Fluent in English; fluency in Spanish is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in international procurement or sourcing management.
