Key Responsibilities
- Own the electrical definition and technical readiness of launch vehicle dispenser configurations supporting Amazon Leo from requirements development through qualification and flight readiness.
- Review and maintain electrical design for flight dispenser systems developed by third‑party partners, ensuring alignment with Leo system needs and launch vehicle constraints.
- Validate electrical designs for both discharge and ground support equipment to meet performance and market expectations.
- Provide technical direction on partner‑designed electrical hardware, firmware interfaces, and harnessing throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform electrical analyses across flight and ground systems, including power distribution, current return paths, signal integrity and data interfaces, HRM firing circuits, voltage drop, and worst‑case scenarios.
- Review and approve electrical qualification data packages, consolidating and presenting evidence of configuration readiness for flight.
- Design auxiliary electrical checkout hardware (PCBA), harnessing, and test configurations needed to enable integration, verification, and launch operations.
- Review and approve electrical integration procedures, ensuring safe, repeatable, and efficient execution across production and launch environments.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex electrical issues during hardware integration, test, and launch campaign activities.
- Support occasional travel (up to 20% in certain campaign phases) to partner sites, integration facilities, and launch sites.
- Act as a technical role model, setting a high engineering bar and driving best practices in requirements development, design review, verification, and configuration control.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within aerospace, defense, or similarly complex hardware environments.
- Proficiency in designing and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Experience with PCBA CAD design tools.
- Experience performing electrical analyses (power, signal integrity, worst‑case circuit analysis).
- Experience in electrical power delivery and supporting harnessing.
- Hands‑on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, etc.).
- Experience owning or supporting electrical interfaces between independently‑developed systems.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing third‑party designs for requirements compliance, test adequacy, and qualification completeness.
- Strong understanding of requirements flow‑down, verification planning, and configuration control.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience interfacing across engineering, manufacturing, integration, and program/mission teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience supporting satellite integration and/or launch vehicle interfaces.
- Experience designing or owning mission‑critical electrical systems.
- Familiarity with satellite power systems, charging operations, and health monitoring.
- Experience designing spacecraft EGSE or test systems used for hardware integration and verification.
- Background in working with external suppliers or partners for hardware development.
- Experience supporting production or high‑cadence integration environments.

Location & Salary
USA, WA, Redmond – USD 137,300.00 to 185,700.00 annually.
