Job Title

Sr Manager, IMSC Information Architecture - Make & Quality

Locations

Role Overview

The Sr Manager IMSC Information Architecture leads and oversees the information architecture for Make and Quality domains within the Data Strategy and Operations team. The role focuses on designing and implementing end‑to‑end FAIR data products, aligning them with IMSC data architecture, and collaborating with supply chain partners, data owners, and technology teams to build scalable data models that support analytics and future AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end‑to‑end FAIR data products for 1–2 domains across master and transactional data to support analytics.
  • Create and evolve IMSC conceptual and logical business information policies to guide data product design and modelling.
  • Collaborate closely with domain data owners to shape the data domain roadmap and secure necessary budget and resources.
  • Define metadata and data quality frameworks with data owners, ensuring high levels of FAIR data throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support IMSC Data Governance by implementing governance capabilities across data domains.
  • Drive automation and simplification through advanced capabilities such as AI agents in data design, asset building, and quality controls.
  • Work with J&J technology partners to evolve an end‑to‑end data stack that can support future AI applications.

Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field focused on data management, data science, analytics, AI, or machine learning. Equivalent experience is acceptable.

Experience and Skills

  • In‑depth experience with data modelling and design techniques (medallion architecture, Data Vault, data marts, OBT, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art data technologies (workflow for master data, data catalogues, lakehouse, ontology management).
  • 5+ years of experience working in a global pharmaceutical supply chain.
  • Experience in multi‑year strategy or technology deployment focusing on information management, data management, or data capabilities.
  • Proven track record of building partnerships to inspire change and deliver results across complex ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for broad audiences across all levels.
  • Energetic, passionate, accountable, and committed to continuous learning.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of industry standards related to data management (FAIR, IDMP, ISO, etc.).
  • Knowledge of compliance standards.
  • Experience working in healthcare.

Travel

Requires up to 10% international travel.
