Overview
Sr. Manager Quality Engineer for Power Modules (m/f/d)
– Lead a team of product quality engineers to support the full lifecycle quality of power module products powered by SiC, GaN and IGBT technologies. The role focuses on quality strategy development, qualification planning, risk management, and customer engagement across research & development, manufacturing, and operations. Responsibilities
Build, manage and mentor a high‑performing team of quality engineers. Design and execute quality management strategies, including qualification approaches for next‑generation SiC and GaN power modules. Act as the voice of the customer, driving quality requirements and ensuring expectations are met throughout development and release. Define and enforce compliance with international standards (AEC‑Q101, AQG 324, JEDEC, AEC‑Q, customer specific) and internal quality policies. Analyze risk, data, failure mechanisms and reliability measures; develop and oversee reliability test concepts with external partners. Lead structured problem‑solving for customer issues, complaints, and technical questions. Prepare and deliver customer‑friendly quality reports and presentations. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales) to embed quality into product design and production. Support qualification of manufacturing processes and tools, and maintain accurate product documentation. Travel up to 15% within the EU; Lisbon and Catania may require up to 30% travel. Qualifications
PhD or master’s in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Minimum 7years’ experience in power module technology and assembly processes. Strong knowledge of semiconductor physics, particularly SiC/GaN domains. Experience with international quality standards and policies (AEC‑Q101, AQG324). Proven track record as a team leader with direct reports. Familiarity with measurement methods, device testing environments and standard software tools. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and presentation skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken) for international communication. Ability to work under pressure, influence cross‑functional stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement. Benefits
